Insufficient housing possibilities through a cooperative

Rental problems often the result of insufficient housing possibilities through a cooperative
Finally, a large part of the rental problems in Maastricht are the result of the lack of sufficient housing opportunities through a cooperative. We haven’t reached our own imposed standard of the minimum social rent in student rooms for years. There should be a specialized cooperative for student housing. Student housing that responds to the housing needs of students and ensures good contacts and living environment in the neighborhood, requires specialist knowledge. The norm for the number of rooms in such a cooperative can be raised significantly, so that renting a room through this cooperative becomes a feasible option for all students. Only then it can be expected that private landlords also take into account what is needed for decent student housing.
