Thank you Martin van Rooij

Over the past four years, Martin van Rooij has served as a city councillor, faction leader, and active member of M:OED. During this time, he has consistently worked on the issues we care about and for the people of Maastricht.

His contributions to debates were thoughtful and engaged, and he brought a strong sense of integrity to his work.

He started his term with a speech on menstrual poverty, calling for municipal support. Since then, he has worked on topics including affordable and high-quality student housing through cooperatives, a more inclusive and accessible city, a fairer formation process, and addressing street harassment and safety for women.
