Council member Aurele Boesten sworn in
By Bestuur on
Congratulations Aurele! We are incredibly proud of her commitment and excited that she will represent M:OED on the city council. We’re entering this council term with confidence and enthusiasm.
As a student and young resident of Maastricht, Aurele will focus on better student housing, a more vibrant city, more green spaces, safety, and inclusion — including for international residents. These are issues that impact not only young people and starters, but everyone in Maastricht.
As Aurele puts it, what matters to young people matters for the future of Maastricht. We study, live, and work here, and experience every day how local policies affect housing, education, opportunities, and wellbeing. She is determined to bring those experiences into decision-making. She highlights the strength of M:OED: bringing together different backgrounds and perspectives through M:OED’s contributions in the council leads to better decisions that reflect everyday life in the city.
